New Year 2026

For the New Year 2026 I am taking a more relaxed view of painting. If you like anything I paint, let me know. I don’t plan to post as much on Facebook.

Lottie Funnies

Great-granddaughter, Lottie, was born November 18, 2022.

December 28, 2025 - Age 3 years 1 month and 10 days.

Talk about somebody making you laugh…yesterday while they were here celebrating Christmas, Justine and Jeremy asked me if I would lie down with Lottie when she goes for her nap and read a book to her. Well, the book was read but she was still squirming around. She put her hand over and felt my hair and said, “Grandma Dee, your hair is a little hard.” I told her that was where I put hair spray on it to hold it. Then she came over and took a whiff and said, “Your hair smells so good.” She came up with some pretty good ones all day.

But…today Stacey sent this one: We just picked up Lottie for the movie.  We’re backing out of their driveway and she says, “Papa, I think your brakes are a little bit wet cause they’re making little rumble sounds.”  I asked her what brakes do and she said, “They make you STOP!” That one about got the best of me.

More from Stacey in the car:  Now we’re talking about the purpose of turn signals.  Also, “Papa, your car smells good.  My car at home does not smell good.”  I’m dying already. (Stacey)

On the way: Me: “We’re going to see a movie about David.  Did you read about David before?”

Lottie: “Yes, he killed a giant called Goliath.”

This is Lottie telling her daddy about going on the Polar Express with Nana and Papa:
