New Year 2026

For the New Year 2026 I am taking a more relaxed view of painting. If you like anything I paint, let me know. I don’t plan to post as much on Facebook.

Practice Book - Rocker on Porch

It is lots of fun to practice with watercolor and learn how it works. I find the study of watercolor to be a long session! Anyway, I had fun painting this in my practice book.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in god, believe also in Me.” John 14:1

Every evening turn your worries over to God. He’ll be up all night anyway. Mary Crowley

Little House Practice

This is today’s practice. Nothing more.

Today’s Thought

It is not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners. Mark 2:17

Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 Broken Fence in the Snow

This one was painted while watching a video on YouTube. The photo of the painting was taken before it was totally dry, thus the wrinkles. They’ll go away when it dries.

Today’s Thoughts:

As you write out goals, make two columns. List those that only Jesus can resolve and ones you can work to achieve with Him.

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. Psalm 43:5

Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 Practice Book

For the new year I plan to do more work in my practice book. When I come up with something I like I will paint it on larger paper.

Today’s Thought:

Put on a heated vest, get under an electric blanket, or put something on straight from the warm dryer. Close your eyes and feel Jesus’s love radiating through you.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, his love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34

Thursday, January 1, 2026 Practice Book

 Just playing around.

Today’s thought:

As you reflect on the past year, thank Jesus for always being in control. Whether you make resolutions or not, pray for Him reveal the beginning you need.
“Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” Matthew 6:8
